BIDDEFORD — Thornton Academy goalie Lexi Nason pitched her 24th career shutout on Tuesday as the visiting Golden Trojans picked up a 3-0 girls soccer win over rival Biddeford at Waterhouse Field.

The shutout, which was her seventh of the season, gives Nason the school record for career shutouts.

On the offensive end, the Trojans (7-7) would get first-half goals from Hannah Niles and Barrett Campbell to take a 2-0 lead.

Faith Sinclair would add a goal in the second half to make it a 3-0 victory for the Trojans.

Kerrigan Goudreau and Abbey Carignan added assists for Thornton, which got three saves from Nason.

Anna Marie Seiler stopped 13 shots in goal for Biddeford.

Lake Region 5, Old Orchard Beach 3

Emily Greenlee, Sammy Donnell and Maegan Halle each scored for Old Orchard Beach, but it wasn’t enough to pick up the win.

Lake Region got a hat trick from Lauren Jakobs and Neva Leavitt and Kaylyn Jordan also added goals for the visiting squad.

Payje Leclair had two assists for the Seagulls, who got eight saves from Tiffany Leclair.

Thornton Academy 5, Biddeford 0

Simon Trcka completed a hat trick for the host Golden Trojans as they cruised to a shutout win over the Tigers.

Stefano Vanotti and Carlos Perez added goals for TA, which got assists from Edwin Kayumba, Dalton Moore, Keegan Fowler and Anthony Pallamountain.

Biddeford goalie Tristan Huot made eight stops and TA’s Andrew Coleman had one save.

Wells 8, Lake Region 1

The host Warriors improved to 6-6-2 on the season with a blowout win over Lake Region.

Liam Bell led Wells with a hat trick and Alec Pinette and Hatim Sharaf had two goals each in the win.

The Warriors would also get a goal from Nick Wuerthner.

Westbrook 4, Sanford 0

Ahmed Hadi scored two goals to lead Westbrook over Sanford on Tuesday.

Orry Nihangame and Jean-Marc Lohomboli also scored for Westbrook.

Sanford’s Tylar Burgess had an impressive game with 30 saves.
