From the Journal Tribune: “Municipalities across York County will likely be making decisions within 30 days whether they wish to forge ahead in their pursuit of some form of regional dispatch services. That decision came toward the end of a two hour meeting Thursday that saw town managers, selectmen, fire and police chiefs and dispatch representatives from 19 of York County’s 29 municipalities review the second phase of a report on regionalized dispatching.”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “(Old Orchard Beach) is presently experiencing a $1 million building boom, according to Leo Larochelle, chairman of the Planning Board. Larochelle said today that this is just the beginning of a multi-million dollar growth predicted when plans for the civic auditorium were in the beginning stages.”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “Moses H. Libby, chairman of the board of selectmen of Sanford, was accidentally shot late Tuesday afternoon by two boys hunting partridge. Two of the shot lodged in the neck of Mr. Libby. With Mr. Libby were Samuel Mitchell and Harley O. Witham, the other two members of the board.”
