SACO — Donald R. Boissonneault, 69, of Saco, passed away early Friday morning on Oct. 2, 2015, surrounded by his family and loved ones, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

He was born in Biddeford on Aug. 30, 1946, a son of Arthur and Laurette (Savard) Boissonneault. He graduated from St. Louis High School, Class of 1966.

Donald served his country in the United States Air Force for eight years. After the service, he was employed by Biddeford and Saco Tannery for several years and 20 years for Pratt & Whitney.

He was a sports enthusiast, following wrestling, NASCAR, football, baseball and hockey. He enjoyed candlepin bowling, winning several championship titles. He also liked playing cards and board games. Most of all, he loved to be with his family and especially his motherin law, Lucille Bonsaint.

Mr. Boissonneault was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church.

He is preceded in death by: one infant daughter, Melinda; and five siblings, Ralph, Conrad, Norman, Janet, and Joan.

He is survived by: his wife of 47 years, Marguerite (Bonsaint) Boissonneault; three children, Monica Boissonneault, Melissa Greene and her husband Malcolm, and Donald A. Boissonneault, all of Saco; and two grandchildren, Andrew Seavey and his wife Abigail, and Kristina Sichra.

He is also survived by: four siblings, Richard Boissonneault and his wife Jeanne, Carol Joncas and her husband Robert, Rita Chadbourne, and Elaine Seader; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6 at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco. A graveside service with military honors will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco.
