PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Martin Brodeur stopped 22 shots, and Adam Henrique and Cam Janssen each scored goals to lead the New Jersey Devils to a 3-0 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night.

Jaromir Jagr added an empty-netter with 1.3 seconds left.

The Flyers beat the Devils 1-0 on Saturday in New Jersey. Henrique’s firstperiod goal would have been enough to stand in this one. Brodeur was never seriously challenged against the NHL’s weakest offense and posted his 122nd career shutout.

The Flyers have scored two goals in their last four games and have twice been shutout over that span.

The anemic Devils haven’t been much better. They were blanked in their last two games, snapping the scoreless drought on Henrique’s goal only 1:57 into the game.

Canucks 4, Sharks 2

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Chris Higgins had a goal and an assist and Roberto Luongo made 22 saves to help Vancouver snap a nine-game losing streak to San Jose.

Brad Richardson, Mike Santorelli and Zack Kassian also scored for the Canucks, who had lost all five regular season meetings between the teams the past two seasons and were swept by San Jose in the first round of the playoffs last spring.

Joe Thornton and Mike Brown scored for the Sharks, who lost their fourth straight game, but just the second in regulation all season.

Kings 2, Sabres 0

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Mike Richards and Anze Kopitar scored power-play goals, and Jonathan Quick earned his first shutout of the season in Los Angeles’ victory over Buffalo.

Richards had a goal and an assist for the Kings, who returned from a fourday schedule break with their ninth victory in 13 games. Quick made 19 saves, including a handful of exceptional stops in his 26th career shutout.

Jhonas Enroth stopped 26 shots for the NHL-worst Sabres (3-14-1), who couldn’t follow up their stunning win at San Jose with another surprise on their three-game California road trip. Buffalo hasn’t won consecutive games all season.

Blues 3, Flames 2

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Alexander Steen scored his league-leading 14th goal, Brian Elliott stopped 18 shots for his 100th career win and St. Louis beat Calgary.

The Blues have won five of six and are 6-1-1 at home. Calgary has lost four of five and eight of 11.

Maxim Lapierre and Vladimir Tarasenko also scored for St. Louis.

Elliott, who got the start in place of Jaroslav Halak, improved to 2-0-1 with his second straight strong performance. He stopped 31 shots in a 4-0 win at Florida on Nov. 1.

Steen has a point in a career-best nine games in a row. He has scored in all but two games this season.

Steen converted on a backhand from the slot in the second period to push the lead to 3-0.

Tim Jackman and Mike Cammalleri scored third-period goals for Calgary. Cammalleri tallied at 14:49 to bring the Flames to within 3-2.

Stars 4, Red Wings 3

DETROIT (AP) — Rich Peverley’s goal at 4:41 of overtime completed a comeback and gave Dallas a win over Detroit.

Peverley beat Howard on a wrist shot from the high slot.

Shawn Horcoff, Jamie Benn and Cody Eakin also for Dallas. Kari Lehtonen stopped 26 shots.

Todd Bertuzzi and Pavel Datsyuk each had a goal and an assist, Adam Almquist got his first career goal for Detroit, which lost its fourth straight at home. Henrik Zetterberg had three assists. Jimmy Howard made 24 saves.

Senators 4, Habs 1

OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) — Robin Lehner stopped 33 shots to lead Ottawa over Montreal.

Bobby Ryan, Marc Methot, Mark Borowiecki and Kyle Turris, scored for the Senators (6-6-4), who posted back-toback wins for just the second time this season.

Andrei Markov scored for the Canadiens (8-8-1) as Carey Price faced 23 shots. Montreal is winless in its past four games.

Capitals 3, Wild 2

WASHINGTON (AP) — Nicklas Backstrom scored the only goal in a shootout, and Washington rallied to beat Minnesota for its fourth straight victory.

Braden Holtby had 33 saves for the Capitals before blanking the Wild during the shootout. Holtby outplayed Minnesota goaltender Josh Harding, who stopped 25 shots.

After two players from each side failed to score in the shootout, Backstrom beat Harding with a wrist shot that went into the upper left corner of the net. Holtby then denied Charlie Coyle to win it.

Hurricanes 1, Islanders 0

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Justin Peters stopped 21 shots in his third career shutout and Carolina beat New York.

Radek Dvorak scored a deflected goal in the first period to help the Hurricanes win their second straight following a five-game slide that coincided with a lower-body injury to starting goalie Cam Ward.

Peters, making his sixth straight start, made one of his best saves in the final minute of the second period when he stopped a streaking Michael Grabner after a turnover.

Rangers 4, Blue Jackets 2

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Carl Hagelin scored two goals — one thanks to an opposing player — and Cam Talbot made 32 saves and New York extending Columbus’ losing streak to five games.

Rangers captain Ryan Callahan and defenseman Ryan McDonagh each added a goal and an assist.

Ex-Ranger Fedor Tyutin scored his first of the season and rookie Ryan Murray also had a goal for the Blue Jackets, who lost despite several highlight-reel stops among 30 saves by Sergei Bobrovsky.

Lightning 4, Oilers 2

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Steven Stamkos had two goals to help Tampa Bay beat Edmonton for its sixth win in seven games.

Stamkos, who extended his goal-scoring streak to five games, has 13 goals this season. Ben Bishop made saves on first-period breakaway shots by Mark Arcobello and Taylor Hall.

Taylor Fedun and Hall scored for the Oilers, who have lost six of seven. Fedun, playing in his second game, also scored in his NHL debut Tuesday night at Florida.

Stamkos put the Lightning up 1-0 when he beat Devan Dubnyk from the high slot 7:37 into the game. The center has eight goals and 12 points during a seven-game point streak.
