AMERICAN LEGION Auxiliary Department of Maine President Georgine Butman (holding Tucker Graves) and District 4 Department Vice President Ann Spaulding, second from left, met with Sue Tilton from New Balance’s Skowhegan factory to launch the Shoes for Wounded Warriors project. Spaulding saw a need for sneakers for wounded soldiers, especially for those who have lost a limb, who might only need one shoe. After speaking with New Balance, she learned there were many mismatched or unmated sneakers that were sent out of state that would now become available to Maine Wounded Warriors.
