There’s a dearth of candidates running for City Council and the Regional School Unit 1 Board of Directors in the Nov. 5 elections.
On City Council, Mari Eosco is unopposed in District 5, and Leverett “Tink” Mitchell has no opponent in District 7.
Alan Walton is running without opposition in RSU 1. Robin Buczkowski’s term also is up in November, and Buczkowski has not filed nomination papers, due Sept. 17. RSU 1 will hope for a write-in candidate to declare his or her availability.
