BRUNSWICK — State Sen. Gerzofsky, DBrunswick, received a 100 percent rating from Maine Conservation Voters during the 126th Legi slature, according to a news release from Maine Senate Democrats.

“I have always been a champion of environmental issues and I am proud of the work we accomplished this year to preserve what makes Maine, and our district, wonderful,” Gerzofsky — one of 18 Democratic and unenrolled senators to receive a perfect score — said in a statement.

The group cited Gerzofsky’s support of bills to open the St. Croix River to alewives, “improve the process for wind power development,” label genetically modified foods, study the impact of climate change, expand the Kids Safe Product Act, strengthen water protections for open-pit mining, and establish a program for paint recycling.
