BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick High School girls soccer team evened its Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference record to 2-2 with a 4-0 win over Messalonskee on Tuesday.
Goals were scored by Caley Nicholson (two), Anna Cowan and Kassidy Scarponi, with assists by Alicia Davis (two), Cowan and Scarponi
Brunswick led in shots 14-5, with goaltender Haley Murano making five saves and Messalonskee’s Kealey Douglas 10.
“A great game by both teams, and I was very pleased with our passing through midfield and the attack tonight,” said Brunswick coach Martyn Davison. “We looked very dangerous every time we attacked and our forward play was outstanding. Our strikers Anna Cowan and Kassidy Scarponi were superb tonight and I was very pleased with Madeline Cowan, Lyse Henshaw at the back. Lena Martin and Alicia Davis were dominant in midfield.”

In KVAC play Tuesday, the Eagles improved to 5-0 with a win over the visiting Eddies.
Mt. Ararat goes to Cony on Sept. 24.
The Eddies 1-2 got a goal from Emily Jacques to make it 1-0 at 28:10 of the second half.
Mt. Ararat got the tying goal from Libby Ouellette’s header three minutes later, and Nikki Bradstreet got the go-ahead goal at 21:08.
Lauren Williams had three saves for the hosts and Taylor Landry had nine for EL.

Morse traveled to Gardiner Tuesday afternoon and earned a KVAC Class B victory.
The Shipbuilders are 4-0 and scheduled to host Waterville on Thursday,
The scoring began quickly as a Morse shot was mishandled by the Gardiner keeper and Ruth Nadeau pushed the loose ball into the open net just three minutes into the game.
Nadeau had a hand in the second goal as she was fouled in the penalty area. Miracle Trimble scored on the resulting penalty kick.
The Shipbuilders maintained the territorial advantage for the half, outshooting the Tigers 12-1.
Morse, which led in shots 24-3, made it 3-0 with seven minutes to go. Baylie Cram intercepted a pass and fed a nice throughball to Amanda Gagne, who avoided the goalie as she found the back of the net.
The scoring ended when Lauren Pelletier made a cross that Trimble headed into the goal.
The defense of Anna Simmler, Leia Graves, Morgan Cram, Nichole Laggan and Baylie Cram kept the Tigers away from the Morse goal and helped Alesha Aucoin record her third shutout.

In East-West Conference action on Tuesday, the host Bobcats improved to 4-1 and are scheduled to visit Buckfield on Thursday.
Richmond scored all three goals in the first half.
Amber Loon converted a Kelsea Anair feed at 19:59, Anair (Meranda Martin) scored with 18:15 left, and Cassidy Harriman (Martin) got the final tally with 15:40 remaining,
Richmond held a 34-5 shots advantage, with goalie Kelsie Obi making three saves, and Nicole Blake and Haley Murphy playing well defensively.
Tori Letarte was busy in goal for Rangeley with 22 saves.
