NEW FACES

Mike Clements of Auburn has been hired by Linda Bean’s Maine Lobster Co. as operations manager of the restaurant division. He has more than 20 years of restaurant experience, including 14 years with Gritty McDuff’s.

Four local companies are providing United Way of Greater Portland loaned executives through November. Loaned executives include Aaron Broaddus of Gorham Savings Bank, Mary Axelsen and Lisa Williamson of Hannaford Bros. Co., Marcy Kamin-Crane and Bob Meinert of L.L. Bean, Luke Fourre of Maine Medical Center and Ainsley Wallace, Jennifer Gaylord, Christine Hopkins and Ken Giaquinto, supported by companies that financially contribute to the loaned executives program.

Candace Roy is University Credit Union’s new campus branch manager in Presque Isle. She has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.

The University of New England named Karen O’Rourke as deputy director for program development at the university’s Center for Community and Public Health. She previously spent 25 years with various public health agencies and organizations.

Jim New has joined AIKO Biotechnology in Portland as chief executive officer. He has worked on both the brand and generic sides of the pharmaceutical industry in the areas of drug design and synthesis, business and product development.

Hannah Wolken and Anne Nanovic have joined Diversified Business Communications. Wolken will serve as director of customer insights and analytics and was previously employed with Idexx. Nanovic will serve as customer insights and analytics coordinator and was previously employed with Maine International Trade Center.

Ryan LeSieur has been named store manager of TD Bank’s South Portland location. He previously worked as bank manager at KeyBank in Saco.

PROMOTIONS

Jane Dagley, vice president of Camden National Bank, has been named Camden market manager. She joined the bank in November 2009, and has more than 18 years of consumer and small-business banking experience.

AWARDS and RECOGNITION

Dawn York of Manpower’s Bangor office was recognized during Staffing Employee Week as the Maine Staffing Association’s temporary employee who embodies the staffing industry’s five key messages of jobs, flexibility, choice, training and bridge.

Robert Harmon, president and chief executive officer of Norway Savings Bank, received the Distinguished Citizen Award from the Pine Tree Council, Boy Scouts of America. The award honors his support for the youth of Maine and the community.

Lisa Preney, social marketing coordinator for Thrive System of Care, was recognized by Southern Maine Parent Awareness with its Behind the Scenes Mover and Shaker of the Year Award.

GENERAL

Paul Goldenheim has been named board director for AIKO Biotechnology in Portland. He is a pulmonary physician with 25 years of experience in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.

Terry Conner has been appointed to the board of Friends Forever, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting world peace.

Lisa Villa, a Harrison selectman, has been selected to serve on the Cumberland County Budget Advisory Committee as chairman for the 2011 fiscal year.
