Barbara attended schools in Cambria, CA and Pembroke, NH and graduated from Pembroke Academy in 1977. She joined the U.S. Navy in 1977 as a photograher’s mate and was stationed at Moffit Field in California. After the Navy, Barbara attended and graduated from Daniel Webster College in NH with a B.A. in marketing. Barb had the kindest and gentlest soul and loved her family, her friends, the mysteries of the universe, and all animals.
Surviving is her mother, Sharon Perry-Meunier of Harpswell; her brothers Travis Wagner and his wife Amelia of Portland and Boyd Smith and his wife Annette and children Elliot and Corinne of Concord, NH; her grandmother, Barbara Perry of Pembroke, NH; and many cousins.
A celebration of Barb’s life will be held at a later date. To honor her memory, we kindly ask that instead of flowers you send a donation to the Coastal Humane Society, 190 Pleasant St., Brunswick, ME 04011; this is what Barb would want.
Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, where memorial condolences may be expressed at stetsonsfuneralhome.com.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
