AMITY — The Maine Warden Service says a 47-year-old Amity man died in an all-terrain vehicle accident.

Officials say Mark Howell’s ATV crashed into trees off Estabrook Road in Amity. Wardens were contacted at 2 a.m. Saturday.

Wardens searched during the night, and Howell was located at about 8 a.m. Saturday. He was not wearing a helmet, and was dead at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
