WOOLWICH
Veterinarian Tammy Doughty hopes to move the animal clinic she operates in Wiscasset to property that she and her husband, Donald, own at the intersection of Mountain Road and Hunnewell Lane.
Woolwich Planning Board Chairman Allen Greene said Tuesday that the board has conducted a preliminary site-plan review, and has nearly all the material it needs. The Planning Board will review the Doughty’s application again on Aug. 26, and then schedule a public hearing, Greene said.
Doughty started Woodbrook Animal Clinic on Mountain Road in Wiscasset in 1995, according to the clinic website. Woodbrooktreats family pets and farm animals. The clinic provides house calls within a limited area.
Greene said that the Doughtys hope to replace a vacant house on their Woolwich property with a new animal clinic.
“There are no glaring issues,” he said. “The plan is nearly complete.”
