FREEPORT
Police early this morning arrested a Freeport woman on a charge of operating under the influence after she allegedly fell asleep, and the vehicle she was driving crashed into a utility pole on Bow Street.
Chelsea O’Brien, 23, was not injured in the accident, Police Chief Gerald Schofield said.
Officer Matthew Moorhouse responded to the accident call at 3:52 this morning. Fire department and rescue personnel also responded to the accident.
Moorhouse arrested O’Brien on the OUI charge at 4:15 a.m., Schofield said. He cleared the scene at 5:51 a.m.
