FISHER MITCHELL Principal Ross Berkowitz may have gotten more than he asked for when he volunteered to help raise money to send Fisher Mitchell and Bath Middle School students to the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals at Iowa State University next week. Students who donated $1 were given a foot of duct tape and those who donated $5 were given an arm’s length of duct tape to attach Berkowitz to the wall of the gym, though in the end all students were allowed to take part. Fortunately for Berkowitz (or maybe not), the duct tape held, keeping the principal sealed to the wall. Odyssey of the Mind coordinator for RSU 1 Elise Copeland said that the team was near their fundraising goal, though they were still taking donations. NATHAN STROUT / THE TIMES RECORD
