BALTIMORE — Tyler Halls of Lisbon Falls has earned an open invite to participate in the annual Offense Defense Bowl Week.
Halls, a standout football, baseball and hockey player at Lisbon High School, participated in the Offense Defense Football Camp recently while on vacation in Maryland. The fourday overnight camp was held at the campus of Towson University.
Halls was awarded a Most Valuable Player performance award for his play at quarterback. The award gives Halls an invite to participate in the 2016 Offense Defense Bowl Week at Daytona Beach, Fla. He will be among some of the nation’s top college football prospects.
The week-long annual event is held the final week in December in a selected hosting city. In addition to bowl games, the week consists of daily practices, coaches clinics, award dinners and appearances by various sports figures. Past notable high school players that have participated include alumni’s Cam Newton, Dez Bryant, Joe Haden, Earl Thomas, and many more.
