
The Lisbon High School baseball team pulled away for a 7-1 Mountain Valley Conference win over Telstar on Friday to remain undefeated.
The Greyhounds improved to 5-0 and host Wiscasset today at 4 p.m.
Lisbon scored single runs in the first, second and third innings before a four-run seventh put the Rebels away.
Noah Austin was solid on the mound, going the distance on two hits, two walks and eight strikeouts for the win.
Lucas Francis was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs to pace the offense, while Cole Bolduc had two hits, including a two-run double in the big Lisbon seventh.
Tyler Hill had both hits for the Rebels (1-3) and scored a run, while Zack Hill struck out one in his complete game effort.

MED. VALLEY 5
The Shipbuilders (3-4) jumped out to an early lead and held on for a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win at Waldoboro on Friday.
Jackson Walker earned the mound win, going five innings on six strikeouts and four walks. Walker also hit a home run, a two-run shot.
Also offensively for Morse, Joshua Doughty was 2-for-2 with two runs scored, Asa Hodgdon 2-for-3, Tyreik Foster 2-for-4, and Parker Onorato with a key two-run triple.
Jordan Powell and Kevin White had two hits each for Medomak Valley, while pitcher Brent Stewart went six innings with one strikeout.
Morse hosts Mt. Ararat today at 4 p.m.

WISCASSET 1
Cougars pitcher Jacob Gaudin tossed a three-hitter to power Dirigo to an MVC win over Wiscasset, which fell to 0-6.
Ron Drake doubled for the Wolverines.
Jacob York triggered a key five-run Dirigo second inning with a two-run single.

FREEPORT 2
The visiting Capers scored four runs in the third inning to take control in Western Maine Conference play on Friday at Freeport.
Cape Elizabeth stayed perfect (5-0).
Freeport led 1-0 after an inning and 2-1 after two, but fell behind in the third as Brendan Tinsman homered for Cape. Tinsman added a double as the Capers pounded out 13 hits.
Ryan Weare earned the mound win, going five innings. He helped himself with three hits, including a double.
Finn Johnson had an RBI double for Freeport. Toby Holt threw six innings.

Tim MacDonald doubled home Shane Pidgeon in the bottom of the seventh to lift the Wildcats (2-4) past the Falcons (4-3) in York in WMC play on Saturday.
Freeport tied the game in the top of the seventh when Colby Wagner hit a solo home run.
Jake Sullivan pitched a complete game for York, allowing three earned runs.
Freeport’s Shea Wagner drove in two runs.
Softball
BETHEL — Lisbon rallied from a one-run deficit for a 17-6 MVC win over Telstar on Friday.
The Greyhounds improved to 4-1 and hosts Wiscasset today at 4 p.m. The Rebels are 2-2.
Trailing 6-5 after three innings, Lisbon tallied four runs in the fourth for a 9-6 lead. An eight-run sixth put Telstar away.
Kiley Merritt was 4-for-5, including a double, for the ’Hounds, while Ivy Morris was 3-for-5 with a triple. Morgan Fenderson doubled, Giana Russo tripled and singled, while Brittany Norman picked up a pair of hits.
Sydney Plourde earned the mound win with four walks and one strikeout.
Aneah Bartlett had three hits for Telstar, with Julia Cherkis and Josie Forbes adding two hits each.

The Falcons earned their first WMC win of the season, downing the Wildcats on Saturday.
Freeport is 1-5 heading into today’s game at Cape Elizabeth (4 p.m.).
“I’m kind of at a loss for words, just really happy,” said Freeport coach Jason Daniel. “The girls have played some tough teams and we just seem to have small bumps to get over. The girls are motivated and doing good things.”
A four-run fifth inning keyed the win. York tallied a pair of runs in the fifth and seventh innings.
Alexys Langley singled and scored a run for the Falcons, while Callie Toothaker had two hits, including a double.
Kiley Blondin led York with two singles and three runs scored.

Cape Elizabeth (2-3) scored five runs in the eighth inning for a WMC win over Freeport on Friday.
Down 1-0 in the seventh, the Falcons (0-5) tied the game when Abbye Koenig walked, advanced two bases on a wild pitch and scored on a passed ball.
The Capers grabbed a 1-0 lead in the opening frame when Julia Torre doubled and later scored on a sacrifice fly ball by Jessica Robicheaw.

The visiting Blue Devils scored five runs in the seventh inning to break a 5-5 tie en route to a KVAC win over the Eagles in Topsham on Friday.
Jordan Mynahan led Lewiston with three singles and two runs scored, while Megan Theriault singled in a pair of first-inning runs.
Kayleigh Temple was 4- for-4 for Mt. Ararat (0-5) with two runs scored and a pair of RBIs. Ema Hawkes, Belle Benner and Emily Wormwood had two hits apiece as the Eagles pounded out 12 hits.
Theriault earned the mound win on five strikeouts, while Morgan Johnson suffered the loss with three strikeouts and two walks.
Mt. Ararat visits rival Morse today at 4 p.m.
DIRIGO 8

Sophia Jacques ripped a double and a triple to power the Cougars to a road MVC win over the Wolverines at Wiscasset on Friday.
Jacques added a pair of RBIs, while Lillie Williams had two singles and two RBIs.
Corey Campbell had the lone hit for Wiscasset (1-5).

Morse concluded a tough week (losses in three of four games) with a KVAC setback against Medomak Valley on Friday.
The Shipbuilders, 4-3 and slated to host Mt. Ararat today at 4 p.m., had just two hits — a single each by Brook Kulis and Micailah Albertson.
Addie Jameson hit a home run for the Panthers, while Emily Wotton picked up two singles. Gabby Depatsy added a single.
Dory Kulis was solid on the mound for Morse, going the distance on just four hits and one walk. She struck out seven.
Jameson picked up the win, striking out 10 and walking three.
Boys lacrosse
TOPSHAM — Mt. Ararat suffered its first loss on Friday, falling to undefeated Portland, 6-4.
The Bulldogs (5-0) were powered by Reilly O’Brien, who had four goals in the win. Kevin Moore and Sam Shaw picked up a goal each.
For the Eagles (5-1), Jacob Sargent led with a pair of goals, while Connor Brown and Matt Lawrence each chipped in one.
Dan Jackson had eight saves in the Mt. Ararat cage. Portland’s TJ Flynn turned away 12.
The Eagles visit North Yarmouth Academy this upcoming Friday at 4 p.m.
