To the Editor:
The Bath Sunrise Rotary Club thanks the community for a wonderful and successful chicken barbecue July 3.
In particular, we would like to thank our sponsors for their generosity: Bath Savings Institution, M.W. Sewall, Occupational Health Associates, the Bath Animal Hospital, Cahill Tire, Now You’re Cooking and Solo Bistro.
We also appreciate the gifts of time and hard work from volunteers of the Bath Rotary Club and Oliver House; and specifically from Mike Baribeau, Nate Fleming, Ken and Melissa Textor, Bob Gravino and our family members.
Additional thanks also go to the Hyde School, Bath Municipal Band, Now You’re Cooking, Patten Free Library, John Brawn, Keith Garavoy, BRVTC culinary arts, Carrot Signs, the Bath Parks and Recreation Department, Pepsi Co., Maritime Farms, Main Street Bath, Sagadahoc Preservation Inc., and Bath Printing for a variety of donations and inkind support.
This is a true community event and we couldn’t do it without the assistance of those listed as well as the participation of our barbeque customers.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
