Southern Maine Community College is inviting community members interested in the future of composite technology in Maine to an information session at the Midcoast Campus.

The program — 4 p.m., Thursday, July 25 — will offer an inside look at composite technology and how it is being developed in the Midcoast. Participants will discover how composite technology is used in marine construction, alternative energy, aerospace and consumer industries. They will also learn about the jobs available to students and graduates in these fields “and how the Composite Engineering Research Lab at SMCC is changing the industry,” according to a news release
