THE TOPSHAM BRUNSWICK Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution gave out its 2013 Good Citizen Awards on May 21 during a monthly meeting. Dependability, service, leadership and patriotism are all the qualities for a good citizen and describe the criteria for the Good Citizen Award. The Topsham Brunswick Chapter of the DAR is pleased to announce this year’s Good Citizen Awards for area high schools including Freeport, Morse, Mt. Ararat and Yarmouth. This year’s recipients are, from left. Sadia Jane Crosby (Morse), left, Jackson Hall (Yarmouth) and Eloise Catherine Melcher (Mt. Ararat). A fourth recipient, Olivia Fowler (Freeport), was on a work study program in Belgium and unavailable for the photo. Winners of the GCA award are presented with a Good Citizen Pin and monetary gift.
