Why Pruitt Has to Go
Andrew Wheeler will now sit beside Scott Pruitt at the top of the Environmental Protection Agency.
Wheeler says he believes “that man has an impact on the climate, but what’s not completely understood is what the impact is.”
Scott Pruitt says he wants to completely strip the EPA budget down to nothing.
Together, these two sound like they are not on a mission to protect human health.
Wouldn’t it be important for this agency to completely understand what our impact is?
The science is out there.
How can we do this while simultaneously cutting the EPA budget by $2.5 billion as proposed? Cutting climate change research.
How do you achieve this when you erase climate science data from the EPA’s own website as Pruitt did?
You show your true intentions.
If we can just deny the science thats proves our negative impact, we can keep polluting with no regard, no remorse – and that’s how stupid Scott Pruitt thinks people are.
He doesn’t care about the effects of pollution on people and he has got to go.

Eves for Governor
I’m supporting Mark Eves for governor because we need a governor who will work every day to build a better Maine; one that has a more equitable healthcare system, supports its seniors so they can age in their homes, fully invests in our children’s education, and enacts stricter gun safety laws. Time and again, Mark has shown that he never backs down from what he knows is the right thing to do. As Speaker of the House, Mark passed Medicaid expansion five times, and when elected, he will continue this fight, promising to enact Medicaid expansion on his first day in office and to work with the federal government to create a nationwide, single payer healthcare system. We need to return dignity and respect to the Blaine House, and Mark can, and will, do that. We all deserve a governor like Mark, and that’s why I’m voting for him on Tuesday, June 12.

Farm Bill Bad for Mainers
The House Agricultural Committee is pushing a terrible partisan Farm Bill that will throw even more Maine families and children into food insecurity and starvation by slashing SNAP benefits. Congressman Bruce Polinquin has already made it clear that he wants to cut the SNAP food-stamps program benefits.
We are the seventh hungriest state in the USA and apparently Polinquin wants to make us Number One.
I urge your paper and all Maine Citizens to let all your Congressional representatives know how terrible this farm bill will be for Mainers.
