
He graduated Mexico High School, was drafted into the U.S Army, serving time in South Korea. He attended Husson College in Bangor, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Business. He worked retail for many years; in 1981 he went to work at Bath Iron Works where he retired in 2003.
Lee loved spending summer weekends at camp with his wife Ginny and riding his 4 wheeler. He also liked to hunt, fish, and was an avid reader.
He leaves behind his wife Ginny (Torman), step-daughter Amanda of Sidney, 2 stepsons Sean and his wife Nichole of Bowdoin, and Jamie of Topsham; one step-grandson Tucker of Sidney.
He was predeceased by his father Elijah (Ozzie) and his mother Alice Bennett.
He is survived by a sister Linda Lee of Elk River, MN, brothers Gary Bennett and his wife Erin of Salem, NH, Hollis Bennett and his wife Deena of Litchfield as well as several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donation can be made to Hospice of Southern Maine, 180 U.S. Route One, Scarborough, ME 04074.
A service will be held at 2 pm on June 7, 2013 in the Chapel at the New Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta, ME.
