BATH — The Morse High School boys lacrosse team celebrated Senior Day with a 19- 3 Eastern Maine Class B victory over Lincoln Academy on Thursday at McMann Field.

“Our team played lacrosse the way it is supposed to be played,” said Morse coach Jay Paulus, whose Shipbuilders concluded the regular season with a 9-3 record and will next play in the Eastern B quarterfinals. “The score doesn’t always reflect the level of play for both sides. We kept our level of play for all 48 minutes. Our boys played hard and played as a team with nine assists, and we won 16 of the 22 faceoffs.”

Alexander Paulus had four goals, four assists and one groundball to pace the Shipbuilders. Oliver Kruze added a game-high five goals, Perry Chase chipped in three goals, one assist and two groundballs, Alec Beveridge three goals and two groundballs, Matt Buczkowski two goals and an assist, Otto Werwaiss two assists and D’Vaughn Myers one goal.

Kevin Tolan had a teamhigh seven groundballs for Morse, followed by James Laser with five and Jay Saunders with four.

FREEPORT — Meg Finlay and Julia Mitiguy led a balanced Greely attack with three goals each as the Rangers picked up a 13-6 win over Freeport on Thursday.

Paige Tuller (two goals, one assist), Teal Otley (two goals), Kristina Volta (one goal), Ella Copenhagen (one goal, one assist) and Cameron Keefe (one goal) also scored for Greely.

Aubrey Pennell and Bethanie Knighton led the Falcons (6-6) with two goals apiece, with Lizzy Martin and Meredith Broderick adding one marker each.

Freeport will next play in the Eastern Maine Class B semifinals, with the date, time and opponent to be determined.
