PHIPPSBURG — A two-hour guided walk Sunday, May 26, from 1 to 3 p.m. will combine nature study and drawing at Center Pond Preserve.
The walk is led by artist and Maine Master Naturalist Steven Perkins and Phippsburg Land Trust and Conservation Commission member Ronnie Kamphausen. Participants are asked to bring sketchbook or pad and drawing materials, and something to sit on; water and a snack.
Sponsored by Phippsburg Land Trust, those who would like to participate should meet at the Center Pond Preserve, second right-side driveway after the Center Pond dam on Parker Head Road. The workshop is sponsored by the Phippsburg Land Trust and is free, appropriate for all ages. No drawing experience is necessary.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
