BATH — Sierra Wallace scored 14 points as the Bath Middle School seventh-grade girls basketball team defeated rival Mt. Ararat 27-17 on Monday.
Marissa Parks, Emma Gould, Madeline Mitchell and Katie Tucker rounded out the scoring for the Destroyers. Macie Gagne, Mae Winglass, Margaret Keating, Mariah Albertson, Aubrey Martin, Maddie McDonough, Sophie Wilson and Loren Boubel all had strong performances.
Bath led at the quarter breaks, 6-4, 13-6 and 19-12.
The Bath eighth-graders made it a sweep of the Eagles with a 43-37 victory in the nightcap.
Hope Faulkingham led all scorers with 15 points, with Amanda Gagne adding 12, Noa Sreden eight and Isabel Doran six. Paige Daigle closed out the Bath scoring with a bucket, while Emilie Platterer, Karen Yurek, Samantha Brown and Kelsea Albertson all turned in strong defensive performances.
