FREEPORT — Freeport Community Library will host a Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association’s Grow Your Own Organic Garden workshop at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12 in the Community Meeting Room. The workshop is open to those with all levels of experience.
Topics will include the basics of soil science, composting methods, crop rotation and pest control, among others. A $5 materials fee (in check or cash form) will be collected at the workshop. Pre-registration is required — call Freeport Community Library at (207) 865-3307.
