HARPSWELL — Belinda D. Farmer, 66, longtime resident of Harpswell died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 after a long illness. She was born December 19, 1950 in Brunswick a daughter of Clayton E. and Lucy Mae (Howell) Dunning.
She was educated in Harpswell and Brunswick schools graduating from Brunswick High School with the Class of 1969.
On November 1, 1969 she married John L. Farmer and the two have shared over 47 years of marriage.
Belinda worked several jobs over the years. She had been employed for over 21 years at Eldridge’s Convenience
Store in Gurnet, LL Bean, Ames Department Store and had owned and operated her own lobster boat in Harpswell for many years.
She is survived by her husband John L. Farmer of Harpswell, a son, Justin C. Farmer of Harpswell, two daughters, Brandy R. Darling of Lewiston, Julie E. Farmer of Brunswick, two sisters, Gertrude Piezchek of Connecticut, Barbara G. Richards of Harpswell and six grandchildren.
In keeping with Belinda’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Brackett Funeral Home, Brunswick.
