BATH — Muriel Florence Marenius, 85, went home to be with the Lord on February 27, 2017, following a long illness.
She was born on January 20, 1932, in West Penobscot, the daughter of Ralph and Carrie (Heath) Clement. She graduated from high school in Penobscot, class of 1949.
On October 10, 1953, she married Edmund H. Marenius. They both worked for Stinson Canning Company for most of their working years.
Muriel faithfully attended the Bath Alliance Church and served in multiple ministries there until it closed. She later fellowshipped at the Bath Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her husband of 63+ years; a daughter, Belinda M Sharpe of Pittsfield; 2 sons, Dennis E. Marenius of Lisbon Falls and David R. Marenius of Woolwich; a brother, Basil R. Clement of Penobscot; four grandchildren; Nissa R. Marenius of Raleigh, NC, Adric s. Marenius, CPT Cody R. Marenius, US Army of Woolwich, and Anthony J. Nixon of Norway. She is predeceased by her parents.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 1:00 – 3:00pm with a funeral service at 3:00pm at the David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High Street, Bath, Maine 04530
