TOPSHAM — The Topsham Parks and Recreation Department (725-1726) has youth baseball and softball.
For baseball, ages as April 30, 2013 apply, while softball is for ages as Dec. 31, 2012.
T-ball for children ages 5-6 and is coed, along with youth baseball (ages 7-8, coed). The season begins the week of April 15 and ends in mid-June, with practices during the week and games on Saturday mornings.
The cost to register is $35, which includes a baseball cap and T-shirt.
Cal Ripken Minor is for ages 9-10, with Cal Ripken Major for ages 11-12. The season begins on April 15, with games beginning in early May. The cost is $45, cap and shirt included.
Softball is for girls ages 8-12. Participants will play on Topsham teams in cooperation with the Ararat Softball League. Age divisions are generally 8-10 and 11-12. The cost is $45 (includes cap and shirt).
The deadline to register for all baseball/softball programs is March 25. After that, participants will be placed on a waiting list and an additional $10 late fee will be charged.
