LITCHFIELD — Mathias “Matt” O. Favreau, 52, formerly of Brunswick, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013.

He was born in Brunswick, May 11, 1960, the son of the late Robert O. and Theresa G. (Pelletier) Favreau. He graduated from Brunswick High School, Class of 1979, and completed the apprenticeship program at Bath Iron Works where he was employed for over 30 years as a structural designer. He married Joanne St. Pierre on May 10, 1991.

Matt enjoyed gardening, cooking, camping, snowmobiling, boating and any outdoor activities. His fresh brewed maple syrup was a treasured gift to all. He was an avid New England sports fan and rarely missed any Red Sox, Celtics or Patriot’s game. He especially enjoyed watching his children participate in their sporting events. He will be sadly missed by the many who loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Nicole A. Favreau of Brunswick and Orono; his son, Thomas R. Favreau of Brunswick; and many beloved uncles, aunts and cousins.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Church, All Saints Parish, Pleasant Street, Brunswick.
