BATH — Lucille Burke passed away in her home on March 4, 2015, in Bath, Maine, due to complications with COPD. She was 84.

Ms. Burke was born on Feb. 18, 1931, in Waterville, Maine, to Arthur and Eda Hackett. She graduated from Portland High School. She moved to Bath where she worked at the Pine Tree Society and later retired from the Five County Credit Union. After retiring, her free time was spent with her extended family at the Bath Area Senior Citizen Center.

Ms. Burke is survived by her daughter Lorraine Burke of Brunswick, ME; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Robert Cummins of Middletown, OH; daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and Tim Bachelder of Athol, MA; and four grandchildren, Mark Bruso of Detroit, MI; Tynan Bruso of Athol, MA; Stephanie and April Cummins of Middletown, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her four sisters, two brothers and spouses: Louise and Everett Perkins; Charlotte and Raymond Dulac; Jeanette and James Morse; Shirley and Reuel Clement; Arthur and Ruth Hackett; and James Hackett.

Special thanks to her nephews Everett Perkins and Russell Clement for their unending love and support of their cherished Aunt.

At her request, Lucille was cremated and a private celebration of her life will take place under warmer skies next to the water she loved. Donations in Lucille’s memory can be made to the Bath Area Senior Citizens Center.
