JIM HOWARD, chief executive officer of Priority Group LLC and a passionate supporter of People Plus and the Brunswick Area Teen Center program, recently presented a $5,000 “matching grant” to People Plus Executive Director Stacy V. Frizzle. A homeless teen himself at age 15, Howard hopes to challenge other local developers to match his contribution and raise an additional $5,000 by June 30. Toward that effort, Cedar Street Developers has already come in with a $1,000 pledge. The Teen Center Program will begin its 10th anniversary year this June. Seeing nearly 1,800 teen visits last year, the Teen Center Program is free to youth in grades 6-12 and is open Monday-Thursday, 2:30-5:30 p.m., under the watchful eye of Coordinator Jordan Cardone who has managed the program for nearly seven years.
