William E. Rockwood Jr., age 71, died on Saturday, January 28, 2017 after a long illness. Bill was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1945, grew up in neighboring Saugus and lived in Midcoast Maine for over 40 years. He worked in the automotive sales industry, and he enjoyed boating, fishing and watching his favorite sports teams. He particularly loved animals and was happiest spending time with the dogs, cats and assorted other pets he had over the course of his life.
Bill is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carmel, as well as his son Bill, his daughter-in-law Sutton and his granddaughter Eleanor. In keeping with Bill’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Memorial donations may be made to the Coastal Humane Society.
