BIDDEFORD — Senior Beth Suggs of Bath and sophomore Kelly Coleman each registered double-doubles to power the University of New England women’s basketball team to a 66-57 Commonwealth Coast Conference win over Endicott College Tuesday evening at the Harold Alfond Forum.
With the win, the Nor’easters extended their school-record win streak to 14 games, while remaining unbeaten in conference play at 16-0 (19-4 overall). Endicott dropped its fifth contest in the last seven to fall to 13-10 overall.
Suggs scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (six on the offensive end) for her 14th double-double of the year, and Coleman totaled 10 points and 11 caroms.
For the game, UNE overcame 22 miscues and 56.7 percent (17 of 30) shooting from the free-throw line by holding a 46-33 advantage on the glass.
The Nor’easters will be looking for their fifth straight 20-win season Thursday when they travel to Nichols College for a 5:30 p.m. start.
