BIDDEFORD — The University of New England field hockey team scored twice in the early stages of the second half to separate from a tie game to upend Endicott College, 3-2, in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) match Wednesday.
The win was the fourth in five outings for the Nor’easters (8-6, 5-2 CCC) since a Sept. 29 loss to the Gulls.
In the first period, the Nor’easters jumped in front early as Hayley LaPointe of Topsham scored 2:14 in.
The Nor’easters now prepare for a road trip to Gordon College on Saturday.
LaPointe has moved into the topeight in school history in goals, assists and points.
