TOPSHAM — Liam Brannigan hit the game-winning shot as time ran out on the clock and the Mt. Ararat High School jayvee boys basketball team extended its win streak to three by beating Cony 46-44 on Friday.
The Eagles trailed 10-9 and 28-24 after the first two breaks and went up 41-40 after three.
Zack Garvey led the way with 10 points, while Harper Moutal and Mike Crawford had eight each.
Tyler Tardiff tossed in 12 for Cony.
Mt. Ararat was 10 of 24 at the line and Cony four of 10, and the Eagles held a 29-28 rebounding edge, led by Crawford with seven and Moutal with six.
