BRUNSWICK — What is Pickleball? Here’s your chance to find out and learn America’s fastest growing sport — a cross between tennis, badminton and ping pong.
Even if you’ve never played a racquet sport, you can learn pickleball quickly and be playing in no time. Brunswick’s Maine Pines Racquet and Fitness offers an introductory class on three Tuesday evenings from 5-6:30 p.m., March 10, 17 and 24. Nancy Heiser, former tennis coach and pickleball player, will run the class, which will include plenty of playing time.
The cost is $30 for three nights. The class is limited to 16 players. To register or for more information, contact Maine Pines at 729-8433.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
