
In 1944, Wes joined the United States Army and proudly served his country during World War II. In April 1947, Wes married his true love, Kathleen E. Shaw, and the couple resided in Bath to raise their family.
Wes was employed at Bath Iron Works, he was hired on May 19, 1947, as a brazer and retired in 1986 with 39 years of service. During his retirement years, he enjoyed attending his grandsons sporting events and walking the Brunswick Bike Path.
Wes is survived by his wife of 67 years, Kathleen; a son, Daniel and his wife Diane of Woolwich; a daughter, Glenda Lamarre and her husband Pete of West Bath; grandsons, Shane Plummer and his wife Amanda of Wiscasset, Kerry Plummer and his wife Nicole of Bowdoin, Saben Estes and fiancée Abby Weeks of Woolwich and granddaughter Paetra Estes of Freeport. Wes is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held in the spring at Litchfield Plains Cemetery.
