BRUNSWICK

The Brunswick Community Education Foundation has completed its 2016 Annual Fund Campaign. Through donations from individuals, families, and businesses, BCEF raised more than $50,000 to support teacher-led projects that promote innovation and excellence in the Brunswick public schools.

“We are grateful for the generous outpouring of support from the Brunswick community in our third fundraising campaign,” said Board President Melissa Fochesato. “We are excited to direct those funds into projects that will benefit and inspire Brunswick’s students.”

Founded in 2014, BCEF is an independent nonprofit organization committed to supporting students in Brunswick’s public schools. It raises and distributes funds for initiatives and enrichment activities. In its first two grant-funding cycles, BCEF awarded more than $75,000 in grants.

“We have already seen many creative projects funded by BCEF. We hope that these new funds will spark more fantastic ideas this year,” Fochesato said.

BCEF grant applications are due on Jan. 15 and must come from Brunswick School Department employees.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, all contributions to the BCEF are fully tax-deductible. Further information about the organization can be found at Brunswick- CEF.org.
