BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department hosted the Elks Hoop Shoot.
The annual Elks Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest was held at the Brunswick Recreation Center on Tuesday, with 31 boys and girls ages 8- 13 competing by shooting 25 free throws.
Awards were given to the top two scorers in each age category. The winners will move on to the regional competition, to be held in Wells on Sunday.
Carson Taylor won the boys 8-9 division with Kaleb Hull second, while in boys 10-11, Nathan Taylor was the champion, followed by Conradt Taylor. Colby Bucknam won boys 12- 13 with Sam Hackworth second.
In the girls competition, Roxanne Sasse won the 8-9 age group with Jay-Lee Sturgeon second.
Alexa Eaton won the 10-11 division with Theresa Breed second.
There were no girls in the 12-13 age group.
