
Rita graduated from Crosby High School in Belfast as a member of the Class of 1938.
She was predeceased by her parents, seven brothers: Newell (2016), Lindsey (1988), Raymond (1998), George (2010), Burton (2010), Earl (1977), Gerald “Pop” (1999), and Allen (1978); two sisters: Priscilla Sokolovich (2012) and Cora Parkinson (2017); four children: Sandra (1995), Gary (1945), Lawrence (2017), Robert (1998), and two grandchildren.
She is survived by her sister Florence (R. Bernard) Plourde of Bangor, ME and a sister-in-law, Jaroslava “Jery” Perkins of Augusta, ME; two daughters, Sharon Rice of Fitzgerald, GA and Marjorie (Richard) Pugh of Peoria, AZ, with whom she made her home for the past 15 years; two sons, Lloyd (Sara) Jacobs of Westport Island, ME, and Dale (Allison) Jacobs of Phippsburg, ME, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-greatgrandchildren. As well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
If you wish, a memorial contribution may be made in Reta’s name to a charity of your choice.
