BATH — Dana R. Richardson Jr., 58, of Bath, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with his family at his side on March 14, 2018. His wish was to stay at home and be cared for by his wife, Nancy, who made that possible by taking a leave of absence for him. He was born on June 20, 1959, in Bath, Maine, the son of Dana R. Richardson Sr. and Linda Richardson- Temple.

Dana was raised in Woolwich and educated in Bath. At the age of 14, he began a career digging worms until he couldn’t do it anymore. Later, Dana went to work as a landscaper, and then also worked for Bath Iron Works as a grinder and a welder.

On Jan. 19, 1991, Dana married his childhood friend, Nancy Malcolm, at their home in Bath. They enjoyed 27 years of marriage together, raising two daughters, Melinda and Erica.

Dana was loving family man, had a love for dogs, and an extensive pen collection. He also loved his favorite color lime green and his bright lime green sneakers. He enjoyed a good button down flannel shirt, and feeding his squirrels (his buddies). His infectious smile and contagious laugh will be missed by everyone that knew him.

Dana was predeceased by his parents, his father-inl-aw, Floyd Malcom, and his mother-in-law, Betty Smith.
