BATH — Jarod Harper paced the Morse High School jayvee boys basketball team with 23 points in a 48-46 win over Lincoln Academy on Tuesday.
Lincoln Academy jumped out to an early lead and took a four-point advantage into the half. The Eagles extended the lead to nine at the end of three and were up by 12 with five minutes to go.
Morse went on a run hitting five 3-pointers and closing the game on a 17-4 spurt. With 15 seconds to go, Morse called a timeout and set up a sideline play, where Harper hit a trey from the top of the arc.
With just seven seconds on the clock and no timeouts, Lincoln Academy pushed the ball up the court and got a good look from inside the paint, but the shot fell short.
Jackson Walker notched seven points for the Shipbuilders, while Kaleb Jackson and Jack Harrington split 10.
Morse will host Leavitt on Friday night.
