RICHMOND — Cody Tribbet led a balanced attack with 12 points as the Richmond High School boys basketball team rolled to a season-opening 69-28 East-West Conference win over Rangeley on Friday.
Nick Anan chipped in nine points, Marcus Blake and Cam Emmons eight each, and Matt Holt seven for the Bobcats, who posted quarter leads of 17-7. 28- 9 and 49-16.
“ It was nice to get out and show intensity from the start,” said Richmond ( 1- 0) coach Jon Spear, whose squad returns to action this upcoming Friday at home against rival Greenville.
Orrin Mitchell paced Rangeley ( 0- 1) with 13 points, with Timmy White adding eight.
Richmond was 11 of 21 from the foul line, while the Lakers finished 13 of 24.

The visiting Rams darted out to a 13-2 first-quarter lead, but the Dragons closed the quarter on a 19-3 spurt to take control in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win on Friday.
Brunswick ( 1- 0) held lead after a quarter, 38-29 edge at the half and withstood a Cony (0-1) rally as the Rams closed to 49- 48 after 24 minutes.
Alex Bandouveres paced the Dragons with 17 points, while Taran Payne and Thomas Hanson nailed two 3-pointers each, finishing with 15 and 11 points, respectively. Josh Dorr added 10 points in the win.
Timothy Cusick scored a game- high 25 points for Cony, with Liam Stokes adding 15.
Brunswick hosts Edward Little on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Luke Thombs had 27 points to lead the Mustangs to a Mountain Valley Conference win over the Greyhounds (0-1) on Friday in season- opening action.
Lisbon, which hosts Oak Hill tonight at 7 p.m., led 15-10 after a quarter, but Monmouth (1-0) rallied in the second for a 23-21 lead at the break. The game was still close through three quarters, with the Mustangs holding a 35-31 edge.
Jonah Sautter had 19 points in his Lisbon varsity basketball debut, including five 3-pointers. Johnny Yim chipped in 11 and Austin Bedford nine.
Hunter Richardson contributed eight points for Monmouth.

Alan Young popped for 19 points as the Knights took a Western Maine Conference win over Freeport (0-1) on Friday.
Poland (1-0) led 20-15, 34- 21 and 45-30 at the quarter breaks.
John Fossett added 12 points in the win, while Jack Davenport and Brendan
Qualls led Freeport with 15 and 13 points, respectively.
The Falcons return to action Wednesday at Greely, with tip-off slated for 6:30 p.m.

The visiting Falcons pulled away in the fourth quarter for a season-opening MVC win over Wiscasset on Friday.
The Wolverines, 0-1 and slated to visit Boothbay tonight at 7 p.m., led 19-18 after a quarter, but trailed 34-27 at the half and 47-45 through 24 minutes.
“We fouled a lot in the fourth quarter, and they made their shots,” said Wiscasset coach Dana Lawrence.
Brandon Sprague had a game-high 23 points for the Wolverines, with Darren Wood adding 20.
Brad Marshall paced Mountain Valley (1-0) with 18 points. Caleb Gauvin had 15 and Riley Flynn 13 in the win.
Wiscasset was 3-for-11 at the charity stripe, while the Falcons finished 23-of- 37.
