AT THE ANNUAL POLAR BEAR DIP in Bowdoinham Saturday afternoon, Seth Berry took the plunge twice — the second time with a backflip off the dock — raising about $1,800 for the fifth grade field trip at Bowdoinham Community School. More then half the students there qualify for free or reduced lunch. The funds will ensure the trip is free for all students. Spencer LeClair, a student, waded in icy waters to help with the cause. Jeremy Cluchey of Bowdoinham jumped in too, raising $800 in sponsorship donations for the Bowdoinham Food Pantry. Nicholas O’Brien of Topsham jumped in just for fun.
