BATH — Gabie Head and Theresa Breed had eight points apiece as the Mt. Ararat Middle School seventh-grade girls earned a 35-28 basketball win over Bath on Wednesday.
The Eagles jumped out to a 14-4 first-quarter lead, but Bath battled back to close to 16-10 at the half. Mt. Ararat led 29-17 after three quarter and held on in the fourth.
Reese Turcotte chipped in seven points for Mt. Ararat, with Wyley Fitzpatrick adding six in the win.
Paige Fulkingham led Bath with 15 points, Dory Kulis had seven and Mollie Crosby four. India DeRosby, Jacqueline Chadwick, Macey Coffin, Emily Adams, Lainey Laband, Hanna Gates, Lorelie Pryor, Zoe Sreden and Kim St. Pierre all turned in strong defensive performances.
