
The Polar Bear men defeated Babson (187-88) and fell to MIT (196-93). The women’s team also beat Babson (191-75) and lost to MIT (198-93).
In the women’s meet, Bowdoin claimed a pair of first-place finishes. Sophomore Holly Rudel won the 100 backstroke (1:00.42), while Caroline Watt, in her first collegiate meet, won the 500 freestyle (5:20.66).
Tom Kramer won two events for the Bowdoin men, taking both the 1-meter (264.80) and 3-meter (299.45) diving competitions.
The Polar Bears will return to MIT the first weekend in December in their next competition, the MIT Invitational from December 5-7.
Indoor track
Avery Wentworth and Kevin Hoose represented Bowdoin well at the NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country Championship Saturday at the Kings Island Golf Center in Ohio.
Competing as individuals, Wentworth finished 88th in a time of 25:14.7 on the 8K track. Hoose was 210th in a time of 26:00.90.
The duo earned qualification following their performance at the New England Division III Regional last weekend at Williams.
