The New England Small College Athletic Conference champions concluded a solid season with a record of 10-7-3.

Brandeis controlled play throughout the first half, outshooting Bowdoin, 9-0, although the Polar Bears nearly had a goal in the fourth minute off the head of Matt Dias Costa, who was ruled offsides.
The Judges put three of their shots on net in the first 45 minutes, but Bowdoin’s Stevie Van Siclen was up to the task. His best stop came in the 42nd minute off the foot of Brandeis Foti Andreo after a give-and-go with Brandon Miskin.
The Judges had a couple of early chances in the second half from senior Tyler Savonen, who chipped wide in the 47th minute after dribbling through the defense, then had a shot from just outside the box headed away by Bowdoin’s Nabil Odulate.
Bowdoin finally tested Brandeis senior keeper Joe Graffy in the 60th minute when Hunter Miller chipped from just outside the box following a short corner.
Miskin notched the game-winner. The play started with a failed clearing attempt by Bowdoin at the right of the 18-yard box. Josh Ocel collected the ball and spotted Miskin streaking towards goal. Ocel delivered a perfect service to Miskin’s head, and the rookie redirected it inside the far post past the outstretched arms of Van Siclen.
The visitors had one last attempt to equalize in the 79th minute. A free kick from near midfield was played into the box. Polar Bear forward Sam White headed to Graffy from close range, but the goaltender snatched it out of the air to help preserve the victory.
Brandeis finished with an 18-4 edge in total shots, 5-2 in shots on goal. Van Siclen had three saves in the losing effort, while Graffy made two stops.
On Saturday in the opening round, Miller notched the game-winning goal in overtime as the Polar Bears defeated Brockport, 3-2.
Bowdoin trailed 1-0 after a Peter DiLorenzo goal, but the Polar Bears tallied as Andrew Jones fed Thomas Henshall in the 41st minute.
After Brockport gained a 2-1 lead in the second half, Bowdoin again battled back as Nabil Odulate headed a corner kick from Sam Ward into cage.
The Golden Eagles controlled much of the first five minutes of overtime, but a counter attack by Miller proved to be the difference. He carried the ball from midfield, split several defenders, then found the lower-right 90 to make his first goal of the season and the game-winner.
The victory was Bowdoin’s first NCAA Tournament win since 2010.

MIT took its final lead of the match following a Bowdoin service error, but the Polar Bears got a break following a timeout as MIT immediately committed an error of its own to knot the match at 11-11.
Leech set up Jewett for a kill to give Bowdoin a 12-11 advantage and Michelle Albright put home a point to push Bowdoin’s lead to 13-11. MIT closed the gap on a Bowdoin service error, but Bowdoin immediately regained its two-point lead following an attack error by the Engineers, 14-12.
