GORHAM — The University of Southern Maine Huskies baseball team and coaching staff, led by veteran head coach Ed Flaherty, will host the Huskies’ 28th Annual Winter Clinics on Feb. 25 and Mar. 4, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
The clinics will be held in the Costello Sports Complex Field House on the Gorham Campus of the University of Southern Maine.
The annual Winter Clinics are geared towards players in grades 3-12. Flaherty will give a short presentation on what it takes to be successful in baseball that will include topics such as skill development, work ethic, academics and social development.
Players will then participate in a series of drilling stations that teach the fundamentals of hitting, base running, pitching, infield play and outfield play.
Players should wear appropriate attire, including sneakers, and bring their own playing equipment.
The fee for the Winter Clinics is $60 for one day, or $100 for both dates.
