BATH
Bath police say a couple overdosed an hour apart Monday afternoon while their two-month old baby was home.
At 1:19 p.m. the child’s father called for Bath Rescue after his girlfriend overdosed in a Floral Street home, according to Bath police. Lt. Robert Savary said the girlfriend was administered Narcan and revived. She was taken to Mid Coast Hospital.
Her boyfriend, left home with the infant, then allegedly overdosed on the same batch of what police believe was heroin, Savary said, and was found by a friend of the family. Bath Rescue responded at 2:22 p.m., administered Narcan to him and transported him to the hospital as well.
Savary said Tuesday that no one has been issued charges. Police called the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, which is now involved.
