England pinned a 4-1 setback on the Polar Bears at UNE Arena in Biddeford.

The Nor’easters pick up their sixth straight win to climb to 11-3-2, while handing the Polar Bears their fourth straight setback (4-9).

UNE carried a 1-0 lead into the first intermission after a late power-play goal from Tyler Seltenreich at 16:29. Brady Fleurent received a feed from Ryan Bloom and slid a pass to the right post for Seltenreich, who tallied his team leading 12th goal of the season.

On their fifth power play of the evening, the Polar Bears finally broke through to even the game. With 3:03 remaining in the second period, Sam Topham teed up a shot from the high slot. Tate Sproxton turned away Topham’s bid, but the puck rebounded to Thomas Dunleavy on the left. Dunleavy’s shot tumbled through the air and beyond Sproxton to tie the game.

Seconds into a power play early in the third, Chris Jones buried a one-timer from Seltenreich. The centering pass to Jones put the Nor’easters up 2-1 2:55 into the final frame.
